Race-Day Logistics
Daily Tip #14 - Thursday, October 22
Running the ING New York City Marathon presents some logistical challenges. Plan ahead as much as possible, and on November 1, your mind will be free to focus on your race.
Shop now for anything you’ll need to wear or use on race day. Remember that you shouldn’t wear anything in the marathon that you haven’t tested in training.
Reminder: Standard Time resumes on November 1. Set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night. Even so, you’ll want to set multiple alarms to wake you in plenty of time to get out the door and to your transportation to the start.
Re-read Daily Tip #13 on the staging area and start and review your official transportation assignment.
Check your e-mail for your registration card, or sign in to your Entrant Login to retrieve it. Bring a printout of the registration card to the expo to pick up your race materials.
Learn how to attach the ChronoTrack D-Tag that will be used to time the race (this video will also be shown at the expo).
Need to cancel? Our Cancellation Policy allows most entrants to cancel their entry online by 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 28, or at the expo October 29-31, and be eligible for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2010. Fees are non-refundable, and entrants may not cancel after picking up their race materials.
